Senior Economist (Gold Coast or Bendigo based)

Consulting experience and a passion for economic development and planning is essential. The successful candidate for this position will be:

  • Degree qualified in Economics or a related discipline (Economics major) Post graduate qualifications will also be highly regarded
  • Experienced in building and maintaining professional relationships
  • Highly proficient in delivering public presentations for training, sales and marketing to all levels of industry and government
  • Able to generate sales and negotiate with clients
  • Willing to undertake regular travel


  • Software Developer (Front-end focus) (Bendigo based, 6 month contract)

    The successful applicant will develop new web based applications and provide support to REMPLAN economic modelling and analysis system online environment and back of office systems. Internal domain manage-ment and network admin will be required. The ideal applicant will be:

  • Degree qualified in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Experienced with ASP.Net, C#, Javascript, HTML, CSS & IIS
    Experience with Java, GWT, MVC, GIS/Mapping, iOS/Android, data visualisation and graphic design skills will also be highly regarded
  • Able to learn new programming environments and adapt to changing software and hardware requirements
  • Able to demonstrate web applications and software they have built.


  • Software Developer (Back-end focus) (Gold Coast based)

  • Experienced in at least one of the following fields: land use planning, strategic planning, demographic forecasting, econometrics
  • Able to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Highly proficient in delivering public presentations
  • Able to generate sales and negotiate with clients
  • Willing to undertake regular travel.
