REMPLAN 3 Workforce Analysis Module

The Workforce Analysis Module expands on the standard employment profile in REMPLAN to provide additional insights into the workforce. Information about workers in 109 industry sectors is provided including their occupations, English proficiency, proficiency in languages other than English, weekly wages & salaries, age, qualifications, methods of travel to work, weekly hours worked and where people working in your area live. All of these datasets can be split by gender.

Employment estimates in REMPLAN economic models are based on ‘place of work’ employment data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ Census of Population and Housing. Place of work employment data is central to REMPLAN’s capacity to generate economic models that reflect the unique scale and distribution of economic activity in a defined geography, such as a local government area.

For each of the reports in the Workforce Analysis Module benchmark data for the State and the Nation is provided. This delivers a greater understanding of the local workforce’s comparative strengths and weaknesses. A comparison of qualifications, for example, can highlight potential opportunities for education, training and skilled migration.

The Workforce Analysis Module delivers great flexibility in generating detailed workforce reports for single industry sectors, groups of industries and the local economy as a whole. The Module has been designed to be easy to use with compelling graphs, tables and charts together with informative commentary.
